Quick Notepad: Looking for a simple notepad for Android

In general, I had a simple task: find an application for Android (Andriod), similar in functionality to notepad in Windows, which will allow you to write offline, and most importantly, save ordinary text files in a standard format. At the same time, the program should be very simple, one might say primitive, without any frills or frills. Despite the presence of a huge number of similar programs on Google Play, choosing the right one was not easy!

Let me make a reservation right away that I experimented with a Lenovo P780 smartphone with Android version 4.2.1. After an hour of experimenting with installing and uninstalling different domestic and foreign versions of programs, I settled on a program called “Quick Notepad” (version 2.09). Judging by the author's email indicated in the information about the program, this is a product from Tiraspol, that is, from Moldova. Here is a link to the Contact group of program developers, if anyone is interested: https://vk.com/fastnotepad.

It is in this program that I am now typing the text of this article and testing the capabilities of the application. What do I actually need from this program? Nothing at all! You need to be able to write a note offline at any time of the day or night, and then save it as a text file in order to later send the file via the Internet or copy it to a laptop, connecting it to a PC via cable, and later publish the material on your Blog.

Maybe I’m not well versed in the intricacies of the Android device, but saving a file to txt turned out to be a non-trivial procedure. The program does not have a separate customary item (as in programs on the Windows platform) “Save as...”. Instead, there is a Share button (share, send via...), where I was able to select the Total Commander file manager, which allowed me to save my file to the specified folder. But for some reason I haven’t been able to read this file using standard Android tools yet (???). As soon as the note is completed, I will try to read the resulting file on a desktop PC, after which I will draw a conclusion about the suitability of using Quick Notepad!

What can I say in general about the program so far? Yes, indeed, it's just a Notepad. Nothing extra. Writing texts is generally convenient; standard color schemes are contrasting and comfortable for the eyes. The settings are also quite clear and there are not many of them. You can change the font size, specify the location to save files by selecting internal memory or external storage (memory card).

To tell the truth, I didn’t immediately figure out how to specify the location to save the files. The location had to be specified not in the usual way, moving through the file system using the navigation buttons, but rather by entering the path manually, which is quite difficult not only for ordinary users, but also for advanced users unfamiliar with the structure of the file system of their smartphone. However, I figured it out with difficulty
